Rescued

Here is a rescue centre story,
a tale of understated glory.
Here is where the lost are found
and timid paws are on safe ground.

Here is a place that answers prayers,
where hard work saves, where skills are shared,
where rehabilitating pets
are cared for by the on-site vets.

Here is a place to mend the broken,
wounds are tended, kindness spoken,
nails are clipped and coats are combed
till all are joyfully rehomed.

Here is where the healing starts,
where soulful gazes capture hearts.
Here is where the lost will win
and brand new stories can begin.
