The RSPCA Radcliffe Trust Animal Shelter welcomes volunteers and recognises that they make a valuable contribution towards its work.

The Trust will ensure that all volunteers are treated fairly and equally throughout the recruitment process and during their time as a volunteer.

The process of having volunteers is to provide additional support to staff in order that we may relieve animal suffering and deliver effective animal provision. Volunteers will also help to increase the opportunities to raise funds for the Animal Shelter. Volunteers may also be recruited because of special skills that will benefit the Animal Shelter in some way.

All volunteers will be interviewed to determine what they would like to do, their skills, experience and suitability and how best their potential can be used.

All volunteers will be asked to provide references and will be subject to a trial period.
