Jess is from a working background and has always been housed outside in a kennel. She is timid of new people and surroundings and would benefit from an experienced owner who can help her gain more confidence and continue her training.
It may help Jess to live with another dog, but she would prefer a calm, confident male to show her how enjoyable and fun life can be.
Jess will need a slow introduction to a home environment and the outside world. Socialising will need to be a calm slow process. Starting with quiet areas of low traffic with a slow build up to a heavy traffic noise.
Jess’s new family must enjoy training, including house training. Jess is a very intelligent young lady; she has a beautiful affectionate side but also bounds of energy which need to be channelled with training and exercise. She loves lots of attention when settled in your company and enjoys being out and about.

All our animals are under a full rehabilitation programme involving behavioural assessments and monitoring. This helps us achieve the best possible match.
We have experienced and knowledgeable staff on hand that spend time with each animal and are therefore able to give you an insight into their temperament and suitability to your lifestyle.
We have a purpose-built area that simulates a home garden environment and provides adoptees with the opportunity meet and greet their potential pet on a one-to-one basis. Similarly over in the cattery we have an adoption room where you can play and give your potential new cat or kitten lots of fuss!
We recommend that you come back and visit your new pet as much as you can to ensure it is the right one for you.
When Fred came to the shelter he was in a very sorry state, but thankfully through care and rehabilitation he made a full recovery and went on to find his forever home where he is living the best life.
